Privacy Policy

daponto (daponto.com) processes your data only to provide the loyalty service.

What data we process

Only what is necessary: account and contact data, profile data (optional) and service usage data. The service is intended for persons aged 18 or over; we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

We also record your use of the service: the merchant and campaign pages you open, the vouchers you create and the terms you search for, together with the date, the IP address and whether the access came from the app or from a browser. To that record we add the gender, age, language and country held in your account, as they were at that moment.

Purposes

To provide and protect the service, authenticate access and, with your consent, send notifications. We do not sell your data.

The usage we record is used to produce aggregate statistics: each merchant sees how many people viewed and used its campaigns, broken down by age band, gender, language and country, and never who. A group of fewer than five people is never shown separately. We also use it to detect abuse and to improve the service. It is not shared with third parties nor used for advertising.

Sharing

We use providers acting on our behalf (infrastructure and message delivery), only as needed. Some may process data outside the EU under appropriate safeguards.

You choose, in your account settings, which contact details (phone/email) you make available to merchants.

When you rate a merchant, the rating - including any comment you write - is sent to that merchant identified with your name. It is not public and is not visible to other users.

Retention

We keep data while the account exists. On deletion, personal data is no longer used; records required by law are retained for the legal period, dissociated from commercial use.

The detailed usage record, which contains the IP address, is deleted after 90 days. What is kept beyond that is only aggregate counts, without the IP address and with no link to your account.

Your rights

You can access, correct and delete your account - in the app or at daponto.com/legal/account-deletion - and lodge a complaint with the data protection authority.
